#Journo claims Jeffrey Toobin once left her dirty voicemail

A magazine journalist claims Jeffrey Toobin once left her a voicemail describing a sex act he planned to perform on her — before calling back later to say he’d reconciled with his wife, according to a report on Tuesday.

Toobin’s alleged past “pervy” behavior was detailed in a New York Times article tracing the ex-New Yorker scribe’s downfall since his caught-on-Zoom masturbation incident.

“It was just like, ‘Jeffrey? Ick!’” Lisa DePaulo told the newspaper about the 2003 encounter.

DePaulo, whose work has appeared in New York Magazine and GQ, said that Toobin had asked her out for New Year’s Eve, telling her he’d split from wife Amy McIntosh.

DePaulo accepted the date, and, a few days later, said she came home to find the vulgar voicemail.

“I kept the message and played it for all my friends,” she said.

Toobin, she said, even called her back to confirm she’d gotten the message, and DePaulo told him: “usually someone takes me to dinner first.”

Toobin told her that he was back together with his wife.

Still, “I didn’t think he was a sexual predator,” DePaulo said. “I just thought he was a nice guy who was pervy.”

It’s not the first time Toobin’s reported sordid sex past has come to light — he was outed for having an extramarital affair and getting his girlfriend pregnant about a decade ago.

The 60-year-old, who has two adult kids by McIntosh, had a baby with Casey Greenfield, the daughter of one of Toobin’s then-CNN colleagues, Jeff Greenfield, in 2009, the Times previously reported.

Toobin — who has been married to McIntosh, his law school sweetheart, since 1986 — at first denied paternity of the baby, before tests showed he was the dad, the Times said.

Casey, who is 14 years his junior, ended up taking Toobin to court in Manhattan over custody and financial support issues.

When news of the pair’s affair made headlines around 2010, the now-defunct website Gawker published an item about Toobin’s alleged sexual habits titled, “Too Hot For Print: CNN Anchor Jeffrey Toobin’s Rumored XXX Sex Fetish.’’

Toobin’s personal life took center stage again in October, when Vice reported on the now-infamous video call that led to the star writer’s fall from grace.

During the virtual gathering — attended by other New Yorker notables and WNYC public radio staffers — Toobin “was seen lowering and raising his computer camera, exposing and touching his penis, and motioning an air kiss to someone other than his colleagues,” the Times reported Tuesday.

“I made an embarrassingly stupid mistake, believing I was off-camera,’’ Toobin said in a statement at the time.

Toobin was suspended and later fired from The New Yorker, where he’d worked for nearly three decades.

New York Public Radio also banned the Harvard Law alum from its airwaves and podcasts and HBO in November edited him out of a cameo in the hit miniseries “The Undoing.”

Still, despite his supposed downfall, Toobin is holding onto his post as senior legal analyst at CNN, where he requested a leave, and has several Hollywood projects in development.

“Three CNN employees say that network president Jeff Zucker is a big fan of Mr. Toobin’s and a believer in second chances,” the Times reported.
