“Joe Rogan’s estranged dad denies being violent with podcaster’s mom: report”

Joe Rogan’s estranged father has denied his famous son’s claims that he was violent and abusive toward the podcaster’s mother when he was a child.

Joseph Rogan Sr., an 80-year-old retired police officer from Kearny, NJ, told the US Sun that he would like to reunite with his son after nearly 50 years of estrangement.

He said he wants his son to meet his twin daughters from his second wife, whom he married after his first wife, Susan, left him and moved to San Francisco with then-7-year-old Joe and his younger sister, Laura.

“When they left me, there was no police reports, no complaints against me, no restraining orders, nothing,” Joe Sr. told the Sun on Wednesday, insisting that he was a doting father.

“I took him every Friday for almost a year,” he said of his son.

“Friday, Saturday and Sunday – he was with me. I would go get him and I would watch him and take care of him.”

“If I was the big bad wolf, they would have had a restraining order against me,” Joe Sr. said.

The former Harrison Police Department officer said his hope in the remaining years of his life is for Joe Jr. to be introduced to his new family — daughters Bridget Carselda and Rosa, both 43.

Rogan, 55, reportedly rebuffed his half-siblings when they reached out to him when they were 19 years old.

“It’s in the blood. It’s in the genes,” Joe Sr. told The Sun.

“I’m on my way out. I’m 80 years old, I’m in the rearview mirror. But I would like to see him.”

In 2015, the host of the wildly popular “Joe Rogan Experience,” which streams on Spotify, told Rolling Stone that his memories of his father were limited to “brief, flashes of domestic violence.”

“When you grow up with violence, you’re programmed to respond and react quickly,” Rogan told the magazine.

On his podcast, Rogan described his father as a “psychotic person who beat the f–k out of my mother.”

The elder Rogan is also alleged to have beaten his nephew and hauled him up by his hair, according to the podcaster.

“So that was all my s–t from when I was like, really young,” Rogan said during an episode of his show.

“I got to see someone who just can’t keep it together, smacks women, beats the s–t out of kids, beats the s–t out of them.”

Joe Rogan Sr. denied the claims.

“I definitely would sit down with him because he needs to listen to my side of the story,” the retiree told the US Sun.

“He never asked, didn’t know what I have to say.”

Joe Sr. added: “He doesn’t know how much it hurt me, and what I had to go through.”
