Earlier this year, Madonna announced she would be going on an international tour honoring her 40-year pop legacy. Today (June 28), the singer’s longtime manager, Guy Oseary, broke the news that the tour is postponed until further notice via Instagram.

Last Saturday (June 24), the pop star developed a “serious bacterial infection” that resulted in her staying in the ICU for several days. While she’s currently convalescing and is expected to be fully recovered soon, Oseary said Madge “will need to pause all commitments, including the tour.” Read his full statement below.

In the last several months, Madonna has been gearing up for the tour, raking up achievements and releasing new music. In April, the Library of Congress added her 1984 hit “Like A Virgin” to the National Recording Registry. Earlier this month, she shared a new single, “Vulgar,” with Sam Smith.
