“#Jimmy Fallon surprises a post-election Steve Kornacki in his very messy office”
Ever wondered where Steve Kornacki disappeared to during the (incredibly brief) moments when he wasn’t scribbling on that election map?
Well, wonder no more. During a segment on The Tonight Show, Jimmy Fallon decided to thank the NBC News and MSNBC national political correspondent by wandering down a floor to pay him a surprise visit.
As you might expect from the long hours Kornacki was pulling during the election, his office is something of a glorious mess, with stuff strewn all over the desk and a change of clothes hanging just inside the door — but he said he was “recharged and feeling OK” when Fallon asked, and he seemed more than happy with his gift of a $5 Subway card.
And as for what happens to him now that the election is over?
“They put me back into preservation for about three-and-a-half years,” Kornacki said.
