#Jerry Seinfeld on which Olympic medal he never wants to win

Going for the gold? More like going for the bronze.

In a resurfaced clip from one of Jerry Seinfeld’s old comedy tours, the sitcom star shared which Olympic medal he would never want to win if he were to ever compete in the games.

In a clip from his 1999 tour “I’m Telling You for the Last Time” that went viral on social media amid the 2021 Tokyo Olympics, Seinfeld, 67, admitted why he’d “rather come in last” than in second place.

“You win the gold, you feel good,” he said during his comedy routine.

“You win the bronze, you think, ‘At least I got something,’” the NBC star continued. “But if you win that silver, that’s like, ‘Congratulations, you almost won.’ Of all the losers, you came in first of that group. You’re the No. 1 loser. No one lost ahead of you.”

It was recently announced that Seinfeld will star in, write, direct and produce a Pop-Tarts origin story inspired by one of his routines for a Netflix film. According to Deadline, the streaming giant acquired the rights for the film “Unfrosted,” a story about the beginning of the famed sugary breakfast pastry.

The flick was inspired by the Brooklyn native’s 2020 Netflix special “23 Hours to Kill.” In the show, he recalled that, at age 8, “the back of [his] head blew right off” when he first saw Pop-Tarts in the market.

“I was in the supermarket with my mother and I was like, ‘Hold up, hold up — what the hell is that?’” he joked on the special. “When you open the packet, there’s two. Why? One’s not enough; three is too many — that’s why. It was perfect. Perfect vision of the future from Kellogg’s.”

The “sweet” project came to fruition during the coronavirus pandemic when he was “stuck at home watching endless sad faces on TV, I thought this would be a good time to make something based on pure silliness.”

He told Deadline at the time, “We took my Pop-Tart stand-up bit from my last Netflix special and exploded it into a giant, crazy comedy movie.”
