#Jerry Bruckheimer lists Miami Beach penthouse for $16.5M

Blockbuster movie maker Jerry Bruckheimer is again looking to cash in big again — but this time it’s not at the box office.

The 77-year-old film producer behind the hits such as “Top Gun,” “Bad Boys” and “Pirates of the Caribbean,” is asking for $16.5 million for his luxurious penthouse overlooking the ocean in Miami Beach, Florida.

The unit at Il Villaggio, 1455 Ocean Drive, combines two different condos, which Bruckheimer and his wife, Linda, bought in 2005 for $6 million and $6.7 million each, or a combined $12.7 million. Brett Harris of Douglas Elliman holds the listing, Realtor.com reports.

The three-bedroom, 6,000-square-foot condo includes an 8,000-square-foot rooftop terrace with a pool, a sun deck and summer kitchen. The unit, designed by the late French designer Andrée Putman, also features a home office, bar, 3½ bathrooms, a living and dining room on a grand scale and floor-to-ceiling windows.

The kitchen features counter seating and an island, while the dining room offers Miami Beach ocean views. The master bedroom also has a balcony and a spiral staircase leading to the rooftop.

Outside the unit, the building is very close to the ocean, centrally located in the heart of Miami Beach. Amenities include concierge services, valets, 24-hour security, fitness center and a heated pool.

The famed Emmy-winning producer, whose films have been nominated for 41 Oscars and won six, is reportedly putting the penthouse up for sale because he and his wife are no longer staying at the waterfront residence as much.

But like his blockbuster movies, the Hollywood producer has plenty of other impressive properties under his wing, including a $23 million Beverly Hills mansion, a 400-acre ranch in Ojai, California, and a 1,600-acre farm in Louisville, Kentucky, according to Variety.

Media mogul José Bastón also lived in Il Villagio and sold his unit for about $9 million. Brazilian billionaire developer Jose Isaac Peres of Multiplan Real Estate Asset Management completed Il Villaggio in 1998 and is now working on two new Miami Beach condo developments, reports the Real Deal.
