JAY-Z Referenced By Witness In Diddy Trial
JAY-Z‘s name was brought up in an unusual exchange during Diddy‘s ongoing sex trafficking trial.
Diddy’s former employee, Capricorn Clark, was giving evidence and was being asked by the music mogul’s attorney Marc Agnifilo about an occasion she told Cassie to leave the Bad Boy Records founder.
Clark claimed she told Cassie to date other people to which the singer replied: “JAY-Z is taken.”
She also added that Cassie asked her “Who would she date?”

Clark did not divulge exactly when the conversation took place.
Clark had previously testified that Diddy was plotting to kill Kid Cudi after he found out he was dating Cassie in 2011.
After discovering the relationship, Clark claimed Diddy arrived at her house carrying a gun “furious” that she had not informed him about the relationship.
Clark then testified that she was kidnapped at gunpoint by the mogul and that he said “Get dressed, we’re going to kill [Kid Cudi].”
The two then went to Cudi’s house to find he was not at home and that he only released her after Cassie came.
During cross-examination, Diddy’s legal team contended that Clark was “kidnapped” and that she went with her boss of her own volition.
Diddy’s attorneys also pointed out that Clark repeatedly returned to work for Diddy, enquiring as recently as last year into a job as his chief of staff.
In his own bombshell testimony, Kid Cudi testified that Diddy broke into his house and injured his dog.
Cudi said that he received a phone call from Diddy after he found out he was dating Cassie where he said: “I’m over here waiting for you.”
Cudi then made his way home, only to find nobody in the house but his security cameras were not working and that intruders had gone through his belongings, including opening Christmas presents intended for his family.
Cudi further said that his dog had been injured in the incident and locked in the bathroom.
The “Pursuit of Happiness” rapper added that after the incident his dog had become “jittery and on edge”.
Cudi described his feelings towards Diddy after the break in, saying: “I wanted to confront him, I wanted to fight him.”
