JAY-Z and Beyoncé’s first-born child Blue Ivy Carter became the second-youngest Grammy Award winner on Sunday (March 14) when she won Best Music Video for her role in Beyoncé’s “Brown Skin Girl.” Blue was credited as a writer on the song, and the 9-year-old is celebrating her win with an iconic photo.

On Wednesday (March 18), Blue’s mother Beyoncé shared a video reel on Instagram featuring a timeline of her historic 28 Grammy Award wins and a special nod to her daughter for winning her first golden gramophone.

Towards the end of the video montage, all focus was directed towards Blue when Beyoncé included a snapshot of her daughter in the “Brown Skin Girl” music video. Fans then see the closing image of Blue smiling as she sips through a straw from the Grammy she’s holding. To add a royal touch, Blue had a bejeweled crown on top of her head.

At the 2014 Grammy Awards, JAY-Z gave one of the best moments of the night that more than likely inspired Blue’s recent flex. After winning Best Rap/Sung Collaboration, JAY-Z turned the trophy sideways and said he got his daughter a gold sippy cup during his acceptance speech. Hov then snapped a few pictures with the award and took a sip of D’usse out of it. Blue doesn’t need that old cup her father got her now that she officially has her own.

The music video for “Brown Skin Girl” off Beyoncé’s The Lion King: The Gift was unleashed last August. The Beyoncé and Jenn Nkiru-directed music video was meant to celebrate the beauty of brown-skinned women.

In an exclusive statement to Good Morning America, Beyoncé explained the inspiration behind the music video and why it was crucial to show different types of dark-skinned women.

“It was so important to me in ‘Brown Skin Girl’ that we represented all different shades of brown,” Beyoncé said. “We wanted every character to be shot in a regal light … It was important that we are all in this together and we all are celebrating each other.”
