“#Isao Tomita’s Symphony Ihatov To Receive Vinyl Release With Hatsune Miku Artwork”
Famed Japanese record label Nippon Columbia has announced the forthcoming vinyl release of what is considered legendary composer and electronic musician Isao Tomita’s greatest work in Symphony Ihatov to pay tribute to the 5th anniversary of the composer’s passing. Symphony Ihatov is a symphony split into multiple movements which also features virtual singer and performer Hatsune Miku in a prominent role as a soloist along with multiple choirs. The symphony was written and composed by Tomita after being inspired by the poetry and prose of highly regarded Japanese writer and author Kenji Miyazawa.
Symphony Ihatov performed in 2012 in Tokyo Opera City Concert Hall
The special 2xLP release will feature artwork from highly renowned Hatsune Miku and Vocaloid illustrator RELLA, while the release will be split, with the symphony on two sides of one LP and the other EP will contain a performance of the Princess Knight opening theme Ribon no Kishi interpreted by Hatsune Miku, which was originally composed by Tomita.
The release is slated for March 31st in Japan, with international orders being fulfilled by release partner Tokyo Otaku Mode and featuring 6 included acrylic stands in the regular edition, one for each movement featuring Miku as a soloist as well as additional artwork by RELLA representing each movement in the symphony and posted below:
