Viewers have gone Inside The World’s Toughest Prisons on Netflix, and now the streaming service has ordered a spinoff series that will take viewers inside special forces groups.

Inside The World’s Toughest Forces has been filming this year, and it will arrive on Netflix in 2023, per Deadline. London-based Emporium Productions, which produces both series, has gained access to special military forces worldwide for the new series. The documentary program will be anchored by a team of presenters and is currently in post-production.

Presented by journalist Raphael Rowe, Inside The World’s Toughest Prisons has aired on the streaming service for six seasons. The series examines life in 19 prisons around the world, mostly from the perspective of its prisoners. the views of prison guards and others who interact with the prison system are also examined. Rowe served 12 years in a high-security prison in the U.K. for a murder he did not commit. For the show, he volunteers to go behind bars in places like the Philippines, Greenland, South Africa, Brazil, Papua New Guinea, Ukraine, and Belize. He encounters extreme punishments, squalor, and gang warfare.
