#Inside the strict honor code at Jerry Falwell Jr.’s Liberty University

Jerry Falwell Jr. allegedly strayed from “Liberty Way” — big time.

The powerful holy roller — who was forced to resign as president of Liberty University over sex accusations involving him, his wife and a pool boy — could have been kicked out of his own school faster than a pagan based on its famously restrictive “honor code,’’ known as “Liberty Way.’’

Falwell, 58, allegedly landed on the wrong side of several of the conservative Christian school’s rules of conduct — including one involving its “Statement of Doctrine and Purpose.’’

Students “should avoid any activity, on or off campus, which would contradict the university’s mission or purpose, compromise the testimony or reputation of the university, or disrupt Liberty’s Christian learning environment,’’ according to the Lynchberg, Va., school’s honor code.

Falwell admitted in an open letter to the Washingon Examiner on Sunday night that his wife had an affair with former Miami pool boy Giancarlo Granda around 2012 — and that the couple kept silent about it and eventually became the victims of repeated extortion attempts by the man for years.

Falwell — the son of late televangelist and modern religious-right co-founder Jerry Falwell Sr. — said the affair was brief and didn’t involve him.

But Granda, 29, fired back that he wasn’t extorting anyone, his affair with Becki Falwell, 53, included sex romps multiple times a year until 2018 — and that Jerry not only gave his blessing to the illicit pair, he watched them get it on.

Such alleged behavior by the Falwells would fall far outside the morals of the college where Jerry once sat at the helm.

“Sexual relations outside of a biblically-ordained marriage between a natural-born man and a natural-born woman are not permissible at Liberty University,” according to the school’s honor code. “In personal relationships, students are encouraged to know and abide by common-sense guidelines to avoid the appearance of impropriety.”

The school code is known for its conservativism — in 2014, students could still rack up penalty points and a $10 fine if caught holding hands.

That rule has changed — but there is still a long list of restrictions in place for students that they must follow even if they’re off campus and on vacation or during school breaks.

Both male and female students “should avoid extremes” when it comes to their hair and clothes, the rules say — dressing “modestly and appropriately at all times” without any “facial jewelry” except pierced ears.

Students can’t wear shorts to class.

As for swimwear, female students can don a “modest, one-piece swimsuit” — but no bikinis.

And forget about racy social-media sites and off-color flicks.

“Media and entertainment that is inconsistent with Liberty’s standards and traditions (i.e. lewd Lyrics, anti-Christian message, sexual content, nudity, pornography, etc.) are not permitted on or off campus,” the rules state.

Still, if students do get into trouble, they will be disciplined with “love and grace,” the school says.
