#Indiana candy shop owner’s ‘sexist’ job listing sparks backlash

This candy shop’s job listing is more bitter than sweet.

An Indiana candy shop has gone viral for a listing that online critics are calling “sexist.”

The owner of Good’s Candy Shop included in his post a strange rant about “every kind of human being” that he has encountered at his shop.

In the Facebook post, the shop owner looks to hire three positions — Customer Greeting and Service, Ice Cream Cake Decorating and other Ice Cream Duties, and Packaging, claiming that their motto is “Work Hard, Be Nice.” But the rest of the post wasn’t so “nice,” as hundreds of comments pointed out.

The owner, Randy Good, goes on to label and describe the different types of workers he has encountered during his 40 years in business.

“We’ve had the know it all, the complainer, whiner, lazy, manipulative, roamers, hiders, absent or late, liars, haters, clock watchers, willful, controller, passive aggressor, puker (I’ll explain in a moment) and worst of all combined, the splitters,” he writes in the now-removed post, Yahoo News reported.

“Splitting” as Good goes on to explain, “is a behavior of girls, young mostly but not always. Usually taught by their mothers.”

“This is the person who talks about others in an attempt to split people apart and feel better about themselves. You know, ‘so and so said this about you and I couldn’t believe it! So and so is so stuck up that she thinks she’s better than us.’ And so it goes.”

Good continues on to share his opinion on the personality type: “This my friends, is poison in action. These misguided gals have no end game. It’s just spreading and stirring all the while believing they are innocent.”

“It’s such a common thing among girls. This is where toxicity and drama find their roots.”

But Good has come to find that, “Boys seldom practice this. They just duke it out! ha!”

The post, which garnered 47K comments and 14K shares, included comments such as, “Who hurt you?,” “Wow. I have no idea whatsoever why you’re having difficulties finding help,” and “Why would anyone work for this woman hating troll?”

Good could not be reached when The Post requested comment from the shop. However, he did issue a lengthy defense on Facebook, claiming that he had been unfairly attacked.

“I admit, I poorly communicated my experiences. I am not perfect. I make mistakes. I’ve made one here. But only out of ignorance, not malice,” he wrote.
