In the Land of Leadale has released a new key visual ahead of its 12th and final episode, set to air on March 23rd, 2022. The visual features Cayna, her adoptive daughter Luka, and Lytt sitting in a field with handmade flower crowns.
The fantasy anime also uploaded a new PV trailer on KADOKAWA’s YouTube channel. The new trailer recaps some scenes from the anime and spotlights characters that Cayna has met in the story. Crunchyroll is streaming the series for simulcast in North America.
The original light novel series of the same name was first published as a web novel on Shousetsuka ni Narou from 2010 to 2012. KADOKAWA’s Enterbrain imprint would later pick up the series for a formal publication in 2019. Eight volumes have been published in total as of March 19th, 2022.
Takeyuki Yanase (By the Grace of the Gods) serves as the director and Kazuyuki Fudeyasu (Welcome to Demon School! Iruma‑kun) is the series screenwriter. Toshihide Masudate, Eri Kojima, and Kaho Deguchi are the main character designers and Kujira Yumemi is the music composer. MAHO FILM is handling the animation production.
The main voice cast includes Eri Yukimura as Cayna, Daisuke Ono as Skargo, Kaori Nazuka as Mai-Mai, Tomokazu Sugita as Kartatz, Yui Otagiri as Kee, Kanako Yanagihara as Lytt, Sakura Nakamura as Marelle, and Yuuki Hirose as Luine.
The anime series is described as:
Due to a terrible accident, Keina Kagami is forced to live on life support in order to survive. The only way for her to be free is within the VRMMORPG “Leadale.”
One day, her life support stops functioning, and Keina loses her life. But when she wakes up, she finds herself in the world of Leadale 200 years in the future.
She is now the half-elf Cayna, who possesses lost skills and OP statuses and becomes closer to the other inhabitants of this world. But among those inhabitants happen to be the “children” she made in character creation?!
A very chill adventure filled with laughter and tears(?) about a girl who transferred into a game world and her very unique friends is about to begin!
