Manga artist Inio Asano announced on his Twitter profile that an anime adaptation of his manga, Dead Dead Demon’s Dededede Destruction, is in the works. He expressed excitement about the news as he will be involved in supervising the anime’s production. He also says that more details about the project will be released later on.
Asano also tweeted out a new key visual to tease the upcoming anime. A 52-second promotional video of the project was also released, showcasing the creation of the visual and Asano visiting the animation production set.
Dead Dead Demon’s Dededede Destruction will be the first anime adaptation to be produced from any of Asano’s manga. Production +h — known for their work in Netflix’s Orbital Children — will be involved in animation production for this project. No production or voice cast have been announced as of yet.
The original manga series ran in Shogakukan’s Big Comic Spirits magazine from April 2014 to February 2022. 11 tankoubon volumes have been published in total and Viz Media is releasing the series in English.
