I Was Reincarnated as the 7th Prince Season 2 Casts Nako Misaki, Reveals Main Ending Theme Song

Voice actress Nako Misaki is joining the cast of the upcoming second season of I Was Reincarnated as the 7th Prince so I Can Take My Time Perfecting My Magical Ability TV anime series, who will also be performing the new ending theme song. The second season is expected to begin airing in Japan on July 9, 2025. 

Misaki will voice the character Lami and will perform the second season’s ending theme “Meteor.”

She joins a previously announced voice cast that includes:

Jin Tamamura (A Sister’s All You Need series director) directed the first season, with Naoki Tozuka (T.P. Sakura: Time Paladin Sakura) as series screenwriter and scriptwriter, Naru Nishikori (Shadowverse Flame in-between checker) as character designer and chief animation director, Yuuichi Abe (Superior Defender Gundam Force director) as action director, and R.O.N as music composer. Tsumugi Akita Animation Lab handled the animation production. 

The anime is based on the light novel series written by Kenkyo na Circle and illustrated by Meru. It was first published by Kodansha’s Ranobe Bunko on July 2, 2020 and has released nine volumes as of April 2025. The series began as a web novel on Shosetsuka ni Naro on October 31, 2019.

A manga adaptation by Yosuke Kokuzawa began serialization on Kodansha’s Magazine Pocket website and app on June 27, 2020. Eighteen tankobon volumes have been released as of February 2025. Kodansha USA releases the manga series in English. 

A spinoff manga by Keiri Amamiya was launched in Magazine Pocket on February 17, 2024.

Crunchyroll streamed the 12-episode anime adaptation of I Was Reincarnated as the 7th Prince so I Can Take My Time Perfecting My Magical Ability as it aired in Japan in 2024, describing the main synopsis as: 

The study of magic requires aptitude, effort, and the right bloodline. One sorcerer loved magic, despite lacking the bloodline and aptitude for it, and died wishing he’d spent more time studying in life. He reawakens as Lloyd, the seventh prince of the Kingdom of Saloum, with all his previous memories intact. Blessed with a strong magical bloodline, he uses his gifts to master the study of magic.
