A main trailer has been released for the I Got a Cheat Skill in Another World and Became Unrivaled in The Real World, Too fantasy anime. Aside from showing off the characters and displays of power, the new promotional video previews the newly announced opening song “Gyakuten Geki” by Tsukuyomi and reveals an April 6 (effectively April 7 at 12:30 AM JST) premiere date.

Additional cast and characters, as well as the staff, were also revealed. The former includes Ai Kakuma as Runa, Nao Touyama as Night, Kazuhiko Inoue as Usagi, and Yuka Iguchi as Akatsuki.

Shin Itagaki (So I’m a Spider, So What? director) is serving as chief director and series composer of the anime with Shingo Tanabe (Wake Up, Girls! New Chapter assistant director) as director, Hiromi Kimura (Cop Craft) as character designer and chief animation director, Masakazu Miyake (Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation) as art director, and Akiyuki Tateyama (Laid-Back Camp Movie) as music composer.

Aiko Yamagami (Cop Craft) and T.D.I’s Sumiko Nagaoka are the color designers, while Sanzigen’s Naoki Yorozu (Shin Sakura Taisen the Animation) and Kenji Fujita (D Cide Traumerei The Animation co-assistant photography director) are serving as compositing directors with IXIXI’s Shouta Tanaka (My Isekai Life: I Gained a Second Character Class and Became the Strongest Sage in the World! assistant photography director).

Millepensee was previously announced to be the animation production company for the show. 

I Got a Cheat Skill in Another World and Became Unrivaled in The Real World, Too is based on the light novel series written by Miku and illustrated by Rein Kuwashima, which is published under Kadokawa’s Fanatasia Bunko label. The series began in 2018 and has 20 volumes as of December 20, 2022.

Yen Press describes the light novels as: 

A mysterious door stands open, inviting a boy who’s been brutally bullied all his life to take a courageous step forward into the unknown. On the other side, he finds a hoard of priceless artifacts and a world as filled with magic as it is with monsters. The most shocking revelation, however, is that he can bring whatever he wants back with him when he returns to Earth. It won’t be long before this double life changes him forever…

The main cast of the adaptation includes Yoshisugu Matsuoka as Yuya Tenjo, Akari Kitou as Kaori Hojo, and Kaori Maeda as Alseria.
