#Humankind: Increase Influence Easy Guide
Humankind features a bunch of tutorials in-game, explaining to players how everything works. But it is not always fun to go back to watch a video when you need answers, especially before you’ve begun to play the game. Here, we tell players about how to increase Influence, an important resource in Humankind.

Influence is important in most 4X games, and Humankind is no different. It is like a currency in itself which you can use in different things. If players want to do tasks such as build cities or pressurize other territories, they will have a good amount of Influence. Each Empire will generate influence depending upon the territories that come under it. There are two ways to increase Influence dependent on the era players are in.

Neolithic era:

At the beginning of the game, you can increase influence by exploration. Players can control nomadic tribes to move around the region on the map to unexplored areas. “Curiosities” are another type of resource which you may collect, and will yield other resources such as Science or Food. If you discover an Ancient Encampment in exploration, it will contain Influence.

You can also obtain Influence by hunting in the Neolithic era. Players can send a unit to hunt animals when they appear. Animals pose varying risks to your units, so players will have to be careful when choosing targets in hunting, but the greater the risk, the higher amount of Influence will be generated.

Post the Neolithic era:

When the Neolithic era passes, players will enter the Ancient era. Here, Influence cannot be generated by the methods in the previous era. Building cities will generate Influence for players in this era, and this brings with it a little bit of complication.

The greater the population of the cities, the higher the Influence generated. In order to keep the Population within the territory, players will have to maintain the Stability level. If Stability levels drop, it can lead to the desertion of the territory by the Population or revolutions.

  • When Stability is at 90%, 2 Influence per Population points will be generated, and below 90%, 1 Influence per Population point will be generated. If Stability falls below 30%, no Influence will be generated.

  • Modifying Districts by building nature reserves, theatres or holy sites can boost Influence generation. Holy sites boost Influence through their tenets such as “Be Charitable” or “Steal Not.”
  • If players are looking to build more Cities to generate Influence, they should know that building Cities costs Influence and can drain Influence available. Extra Cities should be built only if there is a need to generate other resources such as Industry and Food.
