#Humanity Slips Away in BEM ~BECOME HUMAN~ Climax PV

Bem begins to transform into his humanoid monster form in a scene from the 2020 BEM ~BECOME HUMAN~ theatrical anime film.

BEM ~BECOME HUMAN~, a 2020 theatrical anime film which continues to the story of the 2019 BEM TV anime (which is itself a reboot of the Yokai Ningen Bem TV series from the 1960's), is currently playing in theaters in Japan, and to drum up additional interest for the film, the official Youtube channel for the series has published a "climax PV" featuring some of the most action-packed scenes and dramatic developments from the film.

As the phrase "climax PV" implies, massive spoilers ahead! Viewer discretion is advised.

The 2019 BEM TV anime is distributed in the United States by Funimation, who describe the story of the series as follows:

Libra City is a sprawling metropolis whose districts split the rich and the poor. Hiding among the populace are three humanoid monsters—Bem, Bela, and Belo—who protect humanity and hope to one day become humans themselves. However, when a Mysterious Lady threatens their way of life, Bem, Bela, and Belo are pulled into a plot unlike anything they’ve ever known.

BEM ~BECOME HUMAN~ takes place 2 years after the events of the TV series and follows Sonia as she continues to try to track down the "humanoid monsters". Her search takes her to a drug company called Draco Chemical, where she meets a man named Belum Eyesburg who looks exactly like Bem. Meanwhile, Belo continues fighting on his own in an effort to let Bela live as an ordinary human girl. After encountering Sonia, Belum begins having nightmares that make him question his own identity, and his peaceful, ordinary life with his wife and family begins to collapse…

A new key visual for the upcoming BEM ~BECOME HUMAN~ theatrical anime film, featuring the main characters posing dramatically in front of a blood-red city-scape at night.

BEM ~BECOME HUMAN~ is directed by Hiroshi Ikehata and features animation production by Production I.G. The film was released on October 02, 2020, and it is currently playing in select movie theaters in Japan.
