The Hula Fulla Dance anime movie now has a December 3 release date, following a postponement in late March. It also received a new 30-second PV that includes a glimpse of its 3DCG hula dances and new cast announcements.
The newly announced cast members are Karen Miyama as Kanna Kamakura, Miu Tomita as Ranko Takigawa, Kaori Maeda as Ohana Kaaihue, and Emiri Suyama as Shion Shirosawa. The four are new members of the Hula Girls dance team at the Spa Resorts Hawaiians (both the team and location exist in real life) alongside protagonist Hiwa Natsunagi (Haruka Fukuhara).
Hula Fulla Dance was announced in December 2020. The original movie centers on the relationship between Hiwa, her colleagues, and the people around them.
The main staff includes Shinya Watada (Gundam Build Divers) as director, Seiji Mizushima (Fullmetal Alchemist) as supervising director, Reiko Yoshida (K-ON!, Violet Evergarden) as scriptwriter, Hiroko Yaguchi (Aikatsu!) as character designer, and Michiru Oshima (Fullmetal Alchemist, Bloom Into You) as music composer. Bandai Namco Pictures is in charge of the animation production.
Other staff include Kaori Hino (Kill la Kill) as art director, Masumi Ōtsuka (Soul Eater) as color designer, and Yōichi Ōgami (Inuyasha) as director of photography.
