ABC’s long-running sitcom is set to end with its upcoming next season, giving it eight years of depicting the ups and downs of the multi-generational Johnson family. In that time, Black-ish has become a landmark for telling Black stories on TV, launching two spin-offs and making creator Kenya Barris into one of the most in-demand producers in Hollywood.

This belated sequel series to the Karate Kid movies has become an unlikely pop-culture sensation, gaining an even larger audience with its move to Netflix for its third season. Ralph Macchio, William Zabka, and many more reprise their Karate Kid roles in a series that finds former teen rivals Daniel LaRusso (Macchio) and Johnny Lawrence (Zabka) all grown up and still competing with each other for martial arts glory.

Lily Collins plays the title character of Emily in Paris, starring as an American marketing executive who moves to Paris to run social media for a French fashion company. She embarks on the unlikely opportunity as a chance to start over. Emily doesn’t speak French or understand French culture, and she learns to embrace her new home while bringing a bit of an American perspective to her new job.

There’s plenty of darkness along with the comedy in this mystery series about a hard-partying flight attendant (played by Kaley Cuoco) who wakes up one morning to discover a murdered man next to her in her hotel bed. Cuoco’s Cassie has to clear her name and get her life together while dealing with her oddball co-workers (who have secrets of their own) and maybe falling in love with her vision of the victim based on their brief time together.

Jean Smart stars as veteran stand-up comedian Deborah Vance, whose longtime Las Vegas show is in danger of closing. To refresh her act, she reluctantly brings in a young comedy writer played by Hannah Einbinder. Hacks explores the relationship between these two very different people as they warily build a creative collaboration and a friendship while dealing with the challenges faced by women in comedy.

Co-star Alan Arkin departed before the final season of this showbiz comedy, leaving Michael Douglas as the sole main character. Douglas plays Sandy Kominsky, a onetime successful Hollywood actor who now makes a living as an acting coach. The Kominsky Method takes on aging and obsolescence with a warm sense of humor and wry performances from Douglas and supporting actors, including Paul Reiser and Kathleen Turner.

A burst of sunny optimism in dark times, Ted Lasso stars Jason Sudeikis as the title character, an upbeat college football coach from the American Midwest who unexpectedly finds himself coaching a professional soccer team in the U.K. He gradually wins over the skeptical players and fans, becoming an important part of their lives as he adjusts to his own major life changes.
