#Pink Siifu and Turich Benjy share new album It’s Too Quiet…’!

Relentlessly adventurous rapper Pink Siifu has teamed up with Turich Benjy for a new album called It’s Too Quiet…’!, out today (October 31) via Dynamite Hill. It’s Siifu’s second project of the year following Leather Blvd., a joint album with Ahwlee as B. Cool Aid.
While Siifu’s certainly has pockets that he returns to — the swirling, Soulquarians-influenced psychedelia stands out — he’s not one to run it back exactly the same between albums. On It’s Too Quiet…’!, he dips his toes into mainstream rap sounds with the help of Benjy: The album’s title track has the anxious gothic ambiance of Playboi Carti‘s Opium label. And “Jeff Hamilton..’!!” sports some Don Toliver-adjacent crooning over melancholy synths.
The underground gets a lot of love, too: ghettotech experimenters HiTech produce two tracks (“WYWD’!?” and “Iss On De Floe’!”), just one of the many exciting featured acts spread across the album’s 17 tracks, including Nick Hakim and Wifigawd.
