The story development for Special Kid Factory will begin this year to mark NAZ Studio’s 10th anniversary. A manga adaptation of the anime series will also be released at some point this year.
The production staff consists of Atsushi Ikariya (Sabikui Bisco) as director, novelist Ootarou Maijou (Jorge Joestar author) as series screenwriter, and manga artist Yuuki Kodama (ID: INVADED) as original character designer. Other staff include Ei Aoki (ID: INVADED director) as development supervisor, Daisuke Mataga (Sabikui Bisco) as assistant director, Ai Asari (Sabikui Bisco co-character designer) as lead animator.

The official Special Kid Factory story is described as:
The suspense sci-fi anime takes place in a future where unbeknownst to the people of Earth, there wages an interstellar war spanning the entire universe. Alien arms dealers control our world from behind the scenes, using it as a supersoldier factory where “special kids” with unique abilities are abducted to fight in wars on the other side of the universe. When one “special kid” escapes captivity and journeys back to earth, a seemingly ordinary boy uncovers he is a body double for the family all while being drawn unarmed into the heart of a space war.
