#Naruto Teams Up with the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles in New 4-Issue Comic Series

IDW Publishing and Viz Media are teaming up to launch a new limited four-issue comic series centered on the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Naruto franchises.
The upcoming comic series will be titled Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles x Naruto and is written by Caleb Goellner (Sonic the Hedgehog) and illustrated by Hendry Prasetya (Mighty Morphin Power Rangers). Raúl Angulo (NYX) is serving as the colorist, while Ed Dukeshire (The Woods) is the letterer.
Jorge Jiménez (Batman) and Prasetya provided the cover art for the series’ first issue, which will be released on November 13, 2024.
IDW describes the synopsis for the comic’s first issue as:
When teenage reporter April O’Neil has a clandestine meeting with Tsunade, the leader of the Hidden Leaf Village, it garners the attention of Naruto, Sasuke, Sakura, and Kakashi. They aren’t the only ones who are wondering what the two women were discussing, though. The sinister Foot Clan have their own interest in April’s visit, as they think she might hold the valuable information on mutation research being conducted by the scientist Baxter Stockman. With April caught between the forces of the Hidden Leaf Village and the Foot Clan, it can’t be long before the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles show up to lend her a hand!
Masashi Kishimoto’s original Naruto manga series ran in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump from September 21, 1999 to November 10, 2014. A total of 72 tankobon volumes were released. VIZ Media releases the manga in English for North America.
The manga has also inspired a sequel titled Boruto, several spinoffs, light novels, video games, and an upcoming live-action American film. It was adapted into a long-running TV anime series and inspired several original anime films.
