#HoneyWorks’ Heroine Taru Mono Gets Anime For April 2022, Teaser Released

HoneyWorks’ “Heroine Taru Mono!” song is getting a TV anime adaptation titled Heroine Taru Mono! ~Kiraware Heroine to Naisho no Oshigoto. The anime will premiere in Japan in April 2022 and has received a teaser trailer.

The story of the anime, which also has the English title To Become a Real Heroine! The Unpopular Girl and the Secret Task, follows Hiyori Suzumi, a high school girl who leaves her hometown to attend Sakuragaoka High in Tokyo. While searching for a part-time job, she ends up becoming an apprentice manager to LIP X LIP idols Yūjirō Someya and Aizō Shibasaki, who also happen to be her classmates.

The staff includes Noriko Hashimoto (I-Chu storyboarder and episode director) as the director, Yoshimi Narita (I-Chu) as the series composer and scriptwriter, Kaori Ishī (O Maidens in Your Savage Season) as the character designer and chief animation director, Obokata Ryōsuke (I-Chu) as the art director, Tomoko Yamazaki (I-Chu assistant color designer) as the color designer, Yomogiko Murano (I-Chu) as the photography director, and Moe Hyuga (If My Favorite Pop Idol Made It to the Budokan, I Would Die) as the music composer. Lay-duce is the animation production company.

Meanwhile, the cast includes Inori Minase as Hiyori, Kōki Uchiyama as Yūjirō, Nobunaga Shimazaki as Aizō, Ayane Sakura as Jun Hattori, and Saori Hayami as Chizuru Nakamura.
