#’Home Improvement’ actor charged in alleged girlfriend attack

Zachery Ty Bryan has been charged with two felonies after he allegedly attacked his girlfriend.

The Lane County District Attorney confirmed to Page Six that the “Home Improvement” star, 39, was arraigned Friday morning on two counts of menacing, two counts of assault in the fourth degree, coercion, felony strangulation, harassment and interfering with making a report after allegedly strangling his girlfriend at home in Eugene, Oregon. He is currently out on bail.

Bryan’s next court date is set for Nov. 30.

According to police documents obtained by TMZ, Bryan woke up, pulled her by her hair and started beating her while shouting obscenities over missing cell phone chargers. She claimed Bryan became abusive toward her last month but it boiled over last Friday when he allegedly choked her to the point that she thought she would suffocate. She also claimed he put his knee on her neck.

She eventually managed to break away and call 911.

Bryan is barred from making any contact with the victim.
