President Trump’s former campaign manager Brad Parscale was hospitalized Sunday after reportedly threatening suicide while armed with guns inside his Florida home, police said.

Parscale’s wife called authorities to their Fort Lauderdale home at about 4 p.m., telling them her husband was threatening to harm himself and had access to several firearms, police said.

Fort Lauderdale police said in a statement that Parscale, who was demoted by Trump in mid-July, was the only person home at the time.

Police said they were able to talk Parscale into safely leaving his home. The 44-year-old was then taken to the hospital.

“Officers made contact with the male, developed a rapport, and safely negotiated for him to exit the home,” the Fort Lauderdale Police Department said in a statement.

Parscale, who is still a senior advisor on the Trump campaign, was removed by authorities under the state’s Baker Act. The legislation enables police to detain anybody who may harm themselves or others.

Trump campaign spokesman Tim Murtaugh reacted to the development in a Sunday night statement.

“Brad Parscale is a member of our family and we all love him. We are ready to support him and his family in any way possible,” said Murtaugh.

“The disgusting, personal attacks from Democrats and disgruntled RINOs have gone too far, and they should be ashamed of themselves for what they’ve done to this man and his family.”
