The first part of the Fullmetal Alchemist Complete Edition film duology, The Avenger Scar, will soon be premiering in Japanese theaters. Ahead of its May 20 wide release, the first theatrical giveaway for filmgoers was announced to be an illustration by FMA creator Hiromu Arakawa, who recreated the teaser poster in her own manga style.

 

Fullmetal Alchemist Complete Edition

 

The illustration features Scar towering over the Elric brothers as rain pours from the sky. It’ll be given out to those who see the film in Japan from its premiere date of May 20 to May 22 and only on a first-come-first-get basis.

The two live-action films are being released under the name Fullmetal Alchemist Complete Edition, with the first film, Fullmetal Alchemist: The Avenger Scar, set to released in Japanese theaters on May 20, and the second film, Fullmetal Alchemist: Final Transmutation, scheduled to be released one month later on June 24.
