They all have their own lucky card, with protagonist Finn receiving the 2 of Spades, whose magical abilities equip him with a powerful weapon. Together they embark on an extremely dangerous mission because they are not the only ones looking for the X playing cards. Not only the rival car manufacturer Who’s Who, but also the Klondike Mafia are also after the cards and are standing in the group’s way.

The second season is coming

The twelve episodes of the first season of “High Card” ran in simulcast on CrunchyRoll between January and March 2023. Already at the end of the first season it was the anime and entertainment trade fair AnimeJapan 2023 announced that a second season will follow. There is now new information. Together with the first trailer for the new season, it has now been announced that Finn’s adventures will continue in January 2024. The series is produced by Studio Hibari. Junichi Wada, who was behind the anime “Sakugan”, directed the first season and will also take on this role in the second season. The series’ script is written by Naoki Kuroyanagi. Nozomi Kawano, who previously worked on “Radiant,” is adapting Ebimo’s original character designs for the anime. Ryou Takahashi is also responsible for the music. Fans of the first season will be happy to know that the cast will be back in the second season.
