“Hell’s Paradise Anime Coming April 2023 & Main Cast Announced”

During JUMP FEST 2023, the anime adaptation of Hell’s Paradise release month was announced for April 2023. A new key visual featuring the 11 main characters and the first anime trailer were revealed.

The main cast was also announced with some appearing at the JUMP FEST 2023 “JUMP STUDIO NEO” stage. Chiaki Kobayashi will voice Gabimaru, Yumiri Hanamori as Yamada Asaemon Sagiri, Ryohei Kimura as Aza Chobe, Kensho Ono as Yamada Asaemon Toma, Rie Takahashi as Yuzuriha, Tetsu Inada as Tamiya Gantetsusai, and Aoi Ichikawa as Yamada Asaemon Fuchi.

The main staff will include Kaori Makita as director, Akira Kindaichi as series composer, Koji Hisaki as character designer, and Yoshiaki Dewa as music composer. MAPPA is in charge of the animation production.

Crunchyroll and Netflix will stream the series in their respective regions. TWIN ENGINE describes the series as:

In the waning years of the Edo Period. Once hailed as the strongest shinobi, the much-feared Gabimaru goes astray and is soon captured. He is told that if he brings back the legendary elixir of life from an island rumored to be paradise, he will be granted the highest pardon from the shogunate.

However, when Gabimaru and Sagiri land on the island, his fellow death row convicts stand in their way. And there were the mysterious beings inhabiting this so-called paradise, unnatural eerie statues and supernatural creatures ruling the island…

The manga, Hell’s Paradise: Jigokuraku, is written by Yuji Kaku and published on Shonen Jump+. Viz Media is publishing the series in English.
