A trailer and poster visual have been released for Toku Touken Ranbu -Hanamaru- Hana no Maki, the upcoming third entry in the Toku Touken Ranbu -Hanamaru- Setsugetsuka anime trilogy. The anime will premiere in Japanese theaters on September 1.

The Toku Touken Ranbu -Hanamaru- Setsugetsuka trilogy released its first part on May 20 and its second part on July 8. It is based on the Touken Ranbu sword-raising simulation game that was first released in 2015. The trilogy is preceded by the Touken Ranbu – Hanamaru anime series that first aired in 2016 and had a second season in 2018.

In the year 2205, the past becomes threatened by the historical revisionists who seek to change it. Protecting history becomes the task of a boisterous band of swords that are brought to life, including the glamorous Kashu Kiyomitsu and the kindly Yamatonokami Yasusada. Beyond their battles, these legendary swords from different eras lead charming daily lives.

Like the series, the staff of Toku Touken Ranbu -Hanamaru- Hana no Maki includes Kou Nekoto as scriptwriter, Junichirou Taniguchi as character designer, Mitsue Mori and Eriko Iida as sub character designers, Hiyori Denforword Akishino and Eri Nakajima as sword designers, Olive’s Yukari Yasuda as art director, Go Kenkou as photography director, Genta Makabe as color designer, and Kenji Kawai as music composer. Sumie Noro (Sleepy Princess in the Demon Castle assistant director) is directing. Doga Kobo is the animation production company.
