#Man slashed on forehead in Manhattan subway station

A man was slashed in the face Sunday morning in a Manhattan subway station, cops said.

The 64-year-old was approached by two males who were demanding cash at a turnstile in the Lexington Avenue/59th Street station around 5 a.m., cops said.

One of the two then slashed him on his forehead with a razor, according to police.

The injured man was taken to Bellevue Hospital and the attackers fled, police said. No further information about the crime was immediately available.

The station offers access to the 4/5/6 and N/R/W subways.
