Gunna's YSL Status Called Into Question As Label Scrubs Him From Their Social Media

Gunna‘s involvement in YSL has been shaky since since pleading out of the RICO case in late 2022 – and now it looks to be even more unclear.

Earlier this week, a fan page noticed that all pictures or mentions of Gunna have been wiped from the label’s Instagram page, seemingly indicating a separation.

The rapper has been facing allegations of “snitching” in order to secure his release, but it at first appeared that things were fine between him and Young Thug, as he sought out and received special permission from the judge to work with Gunna as part of his release from jail.

But weeks later, Thugger posted — then quickly deleted — a message that spoke to the polar opposite.

“Gunna stop acting like we friends on the internet, I don’t know u my guy,” he wrote.

Like Gunna himself has in the past, his former lawyer Steve Sadow has also insisted that the rapper did not cooperate in any way with prosecutors to secure his freedom in the YSL RICO case.

I was Gunna’s attorney but I am NOT speaking on his behalf. This long post is solely to set out the truth,” he wrote on social media earlier this year after a song snippet from Thug emerged containing an apparent jab at Gunna.

“Gunna did NOT cooperate, and did NOTHING and said NOTHING to cause harm to Thug’s case. He spent 8 months in jail and was released in Dec. 2022 after entering an Alford plea.”

He continued: “Gunna’s plea could not and was not used at Thug’s trial and he was never even named as a witness. He received a 5-yr suspended sentence, with no reporting, no travel restrictions, no living restrictions, AND NO PROBATION.

“Over the last two years, from media reports, he has performed all over the world, achieved international fame and recognition, and earned millions of dollars.”
