After months of leaks and speculations, finally the GTA remaster trilogy was announced just days ago. Last week we talked about how there were already so many insane leaks about the trilogy from every corner of the world. This made us wonder why Rockstar Games won’t announce the trilogy already and be done with it. Well, they finally took the signal and officially green lit the trilogy and now we have some leaks about its price.

All this sounds very nice, but one can experience it only if it is affordable, so how much would it cost? We do not have any official figure yet but expect to be hearing about it real soon. As per latest leaks, the trilogy won’t be a cheap deal and might cost you a considerable sum. As online retailer base.com suggests that the price of the GTA: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition would be as follows:

For PS5 and Xbox Series X/S – £70/USD $70
The PS4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch version – RRP of $60/£60

Since it is not official information, we’ll suggest you to not take it very seriously. Though most leaks about the trilogy have turned out to be true, we really cannot rely on them much.

According to Rockstar, the remasters are being released as part of GTA 3’s 20th anniversary. But unfortunately, the remasters won’t be releasing this month or maybe this year at all, for that matter. The exact date for the release of the trilogy wasn’t mentioned by Rockstar games but it we hope to see the release this year itself. Some sources suggests that the PS4, Xbox One and Switch versions of the compilation will release physically on December 7. This might or might not be true, and the new-gen versions will release only after this.

Rockstar Games has stated that they will be pulling the existing versions of the classic titles from digital retailers next week. So, if they pull all those versions from the market and then delay release, it may cost them dearly. Hence, we expect it to release this year itself in December but who’s to say what’ll happen. Also, Rockstar stated that the Android and iOS versions of the trilogy will release sometime in the first half of 2022.
