“Grudge of Edinburgh Adds More Voice Cast Members”

Additional voice cast members have been added to the upcoming anime film The Seven Deadly Sins: Grudge of Edinburgh. It will be released in two parts, with part one debuting on Netflix in December 2022. The film is a 3DCG follow-up to The Seven Deadly Sins anime series. 

The new voice cast members include Kouki Uchiyama as Fairy, Kazuyuki Okitsu as Priest, and Youhei Azakami as Deathpierce. They join Ayumu Murase as Tristan, Mikako Komatsu as the younger Tristan, Yuuki Kaji as Meliodas, Sora Amamiya as Elizabeth, Jun Fukuyama as King, Aoi Yuuki as Diane, Tatsuhisa Suzuki as Ban, and Yuuhei Takagi as Gowther.

The Seven Deadly Sins: Grudge of Edinburgh is the third film in the franchise, following The Seven Deadly Sins the Movie: Prisoners of the Sky in 2018 and The Seven Deadly Sins: Cursed By Light in 2021. Alfred Imageworks and Marvy Jack are in charge of the 3D anime production. 

The first season of The Seven Deadly Sins aired in 2014 before concluding with the fifth season in 2021. A-1 Pictures produced the first two seasons, as well as the four-episode Signs of Holy War series and Prisoners of the Sky. Seasons four and five, as well as the film Cursed By Light, were produced by Studio Deen

The original manga series by Nakaba Suzuki ran in Kodansha’s Weekly Shounen Magazine from October 10, 2012 to March 25, 2020. The series has inspired several manga spin-offs, light novels, video games, artbooks, and a stage play adaptation.

Netflix describes the film’s synopsis as: 

Split into two parts, the story will follow Tristan, the son of The Seven Deadly Sins protagonists Meliodas and Elizabeth. Tristan inherits the power of the Goddess Clan and can heal people’s wounds and injuries, but he often ends up hurting others due to his inability to control his Demon Clan power. To protect his family, Tristan heads to Edinburgh Castle and meets a host of new friends along the way.
