#Gridman Universe Film Receive MX4D Screenings in Japan on June 30, Reveal Two New Visuals

Tsuburaya Productions has announced that the Gridman Universe anime film will have MX4D screenings in Japan, starting on June 30, 2023. The film first premiered in Japan on March 24, 2023. 

A special key visual for the MX4D screening has been released, along with another visual of the film’s main cast. 

As part of the special Gridman Universe screenings, visitors will receive special anime merchandise for the first three weeks. During the first week, an A4 clear poster drawn by Gridman character designer Masaru Sakamoto will be given to people. In the two weeks afterwards, more details on the merchandise will be announced later. Tickets for the MX4D screenings will cost 1,800 yen (US$12.83), with tax included. 

Many of the production staff from both SSSS.Gridman and SSSS.Dynazenon returned to work on the anime film. They include Akira Amemiya as director, Keiichi Hasegawa as scriptwriter, Masaru Sakamoto as character designer, Mayumi Nakamura as sub-character designer, and Shirou SAGISU as music composer. TRIGGER is in charge of the animation production once again, while Graphinica is handling the 3DCG.

Meanwhile, the returning voice cast includes Hikaru Midorikawa as Gridman, Yuuya Hirose as Yuta, Yume Miyamoto as Rikka Takarada, Souma Saitou as Sho Utsumi, Junya Enoki as Yomogi Asanaka, Shion Wakayama as Yume Minami, Yuuichirou Umehara as Koyomi Yamanaka, Chika Anzai as Chise Asukagawa, Ryousuke Takahashi as Calliber, Katsuyuki Konishi as Max, Aoi Yuuki as Borr, Matsuya Masakaze as Vit, Mayumi Shintani as Rikka’s mother, Kenichi Suzumura as Knight, and Karin Takahashi as Nidaime.

SSSS.Gridman and SSSS.Dynazenon aired during the Fall 2018 and Spring 2021 anime seasons, respectively. Both series ran with a total of 12 episodes each, with Crunchyroll streaming them both. They are inspired by Tsuburaya Productions’s 1993 Gridman: The Hyper Agent tokusatsu series.
