#GREAT ESCAPE Teases New PV Trailer, Main Cast, & Key Visual

ESTAB LIFE: GREAT ESCAPE has revealed a new PV trailer ahead of its April 2022 premiere, along with an updated key visual and information on the main cast members. The multimedia project was first announced this past January as a collaboration between Fuji TV’s +Ultra programming block and Crunchyroll. 

The project will also include an upcoming anime film called Estab-Life Revengers’ Road that will be directed and written by Gorou Taniguchi (Code Geass). No release date has been set as of yet. Polygon Pictures will handle animation production of the film and TV anime series. 

The short PV and visual showcases the main characters of the Nigashiya group. Tomomi Mineuchi plays Ekua, the Nigashiya leader, and Rie Takahashi voices Feresu, an athletic, quick firing gun wizard. Additionally, Maria Naganawa voices the slime-human hybrid Maruteese, Show Hayami plays the old AI robot Aruga, and Shin-ichirou Miki voices a wolfman named Urura. 

The staff of ESTAB LIFE: GREAT ESCAPE includes Hiroyuki Hashimoto (Is the Order a Rabbit? BLOOM) as director, Shouji Gatoh (COP CRAFT) as series scriptwriter, Yuusuke Kozaki (UNDER THE DOG) as original character designer, and Yoshiaki Fujisawa (Love Live! Super Star!!) as music composer. Gorou Taniguchi is credited with original planning for the series overall. 

ESTAB LIFE: GREAT ESCAPE takes place in the far future, where the human population is decreasing. To ensure that humanity survives, an AI system is created to help manage the ecosystem. Genetic engineering experiments involving humans, beastmen, demons, and more are implemented to diversify the human race. This results in special cities called Clusters that are inhabited by specific groups of people with their own unique cultures. The population is now constantly monitored by the AI to protect them from destruction.

Crunchyroll has licensed the series for streaming worldwide outside of Asia.
