The PlayStation Showcase event will take place very soon (9^th of September), with fans and the gaming community eager for it. In the build-up to the event, David Jaffe, the creator of God of War and co-creator of Twisted Metal, has added fuel to the excitement.

Jaffe stated in a video stream that he had heard that PlayStation’s first-party studios will “be there with flying colors” at the event. He said that he will not be able to reveal anything, and he does not know all that there is to expect during the event.

“a handful of things and you won’t be disappointed if you are looking for the traditional, great first-party PlayStation.”

He has said that he is excited to see fans’ reactions and responses to the event and that while he had not “even seen what I’m talking about, but I’m very proud and excited for all of [Sony’s people].”

Jaffe has also stated that he does not know when the next title in the God of War series title will be released; but that it will have 40 hours of gameplay. In a tweet following the video, Jaffe has claimed that there is a “badass” game in the making.

The Hype

While the announcement may or may not be during the event, it is definitely going to stir a great deal of interest. While many speculate about the next God of War title, we cannot know for sure unless we hear for ourselves!
