God of War 2018 is often considered to be one of the best story mode RPGs of all time. It received over 260 Game of the Year Awards so that clearly explains its critical success. GOW always had tremendous hype and even now it remains one of the most sought-after games with exceptional demand. Recently the PC version of the game was announced to arrive on January 14, 2022, but it seems like it isn’t primarily developed by Sony.

JetPack Interactive’s God of War PC

Apparently, Sony has outsourced the development of God of War PC to a Vancouver-based port house Jetpack Interactive. This isn’t the first time Sony has done so with its PC games ports. Its also partnered with the Singaporean Virtuous for Horizon: Zero Dawn’s post-PlayStation experience. Also, its not the first time Sony has worked with Jetpack Interactive earlier as well. They hired Jetpack in the past to port Orcs Must Die: Unchained to PS4.

Sony’s decision to outsource its games haven’t proven that well in the past. Ports of games like Horizon Zero Dawn faced massive technical issues upon its release. They would not want that for God of War PC as it is literally one of the most exciting happenings in the gaming world. Fans are so hyped about it and want to play it so much, that it is already the number one pre order seller on Steam. The game is doing very well on Epic Games as well as it seems like everyone wants to get hands on it.

God of War (2018) is all set to arrive on PC on January 14, 2022. It will feature advanced-level graphics, support gamepad controls, 4K output, and 21:9 resolution. The system requirements have not been revealed yet but know that it would take at least 80 GB of space. As of August 2021, 19.5MM copies of God of War on PlayStation 4 have been sold. Now it remains to be seen what records it breaks for PC sales.

At this year, PlayStation Showcase, God of War: Ragnarok (its sequel) was revealed to be released in early 2022. The extended look provided us with almost everything we were hoping to see including a hint at storyline, incredible graphics, and return of favorite characters. The game will see first of a kind crossover of Greek mythology with Norse mythology. This is incredible news for gaming as well as Marvel fans.

One thing’s for sure, 2022 is destined to be a great year for gamers, especially God of War fans.
