“Goblin Slayer Season 2 Teaser Visual Released”
A teaser visual has been released for Goblin Slayer Season 2, which is currently in production. The second season was announced in January 2021.
The first season of Goblin Slayer was released in 2018, while an OVA titled Goblin Slayer: Goblin’s Crown was released in 2020. The anime is based on the light novels written by Kumo Kagyuu and illustrated by Noboru Kannatsuki, which are published under SB Creative’s GA Bunko label and have inspired various spin-offs and manga.
Crunchyroll describes the first season as:
“I’m not saving the world. I just kill goblins.” Rumor has it that, in a certain guild in the middle of nowhere, there is an extraordinary man who has climbed all the way to the Silver rank just by killing goblins. At the same guild, a priestess who’s just become a new adventurer has formed her first party… and the man who ends up rescuing that party when they get into trouble is none other than the Goblin Slayer.
The first season and OVA’s main staff includes Takaharu Ozaki (Wave!! –Let’s go surfing!!-) as director, Hideyuki Kurata (Girls’ Frontline) as series composer/scriptwriter, and Takashi Nagayoshi (Re:Zero − Starting Life in Another World Season 2 animation director) as character designer. White Fox is the animation production company.
Meanwhile, the cast includes Yuuichirou Umehara as Goblin Slayer, Yui Ogura as Priestess, Yuka Iguchi as Cow Girl, Maaya Uchida as Guild Girl, Nao Touyama as High Elf Archer, Yuichi Nakamura as Dwarf Shaman, and Tomokazu Sugita as Lizard Priest.
