#’GMA’ anchors say he’s ‘well’

Michael Strahan is on the mend after contracting COVID-19.

Strahan’s “Good Morning America” co-hosts Robin Roberts, George Stephanopoulos and Amy Robach addressed his diagnosis Thursday morning and said he’s doing “well” while quarantining at home.

“So many of you have reached out to him and asked about him, and he says, ‘Thank you for the concern and well wishes,’” Stephanopoulos shared of 49-year-old Strahan. “He’s also feeling well and looking forward to being back here shortly.”

Stephanopoulos noted that he and the other anchors and crew were cleared by Disney, ABC’s parent company, to be at work after following CDC guidelines and contact tracing.

Robach then revealed that while speaking to the New York Giants legend on Wednesday she joked that she’d like for him to “hurry back” so she can “set her alarm clock back an hour.”

“Michael, we wish you the very best,” Robach added.

Stephanopoulos, 59, had the virus last year and recovered.
