Along with a key visual featuring its three main girls, the official website for the upcoming TV anime adaptation of Tone Koken's light novel Super Cub announced today that it is set to premiere in Japan in April 2021. In the key visual, Koguma (CV: Yuki Yomichi), Reiko (Ayaka Nanase), and Shii Eniwa (Natsumi Hioka) are talking happily under a clear sky.

The novel series with illustrations by Hiro has been published from Kadokawa Shoten's Kadokawa Sneaker Bunko label since May 2017 and so far seven volumes have been available in Japan. Its story is set in Hokuto-city, Yamanashi Prefecture, and follows a high school girl Koguma, who has thought she has nothing – no parents, no friends, and no hobbies. When she enters high school, she meets a Honda Super Cub 50. Then, she starts expanding her world while growing through her relationship with the motorcycle.

Toshiro Fujii (BORUTO: NARUTO NEXT GENERATIONS) is attached to direct the TV anime adaptation, alongside the series composition writer Toshizo Nemoto (Last Hope) and the character designer Ryo Imanishi (Girly Air Force). Studio KAI works on anime production (Uma Musume Pretty Derby Season 2).
