“#Evangelion: 3.0+1.0 Thrice Upon a Time to Also Get IMAX Screenings”

In addition to the regular screenings, Evangelion: 3.0+1.0 Thrice Upon a Time, the long-awaited fourth and final installment in the Rebuild of Evangelion tetralogy film series, will also get IMAX screenings simultaneously in Japan from January 23, 2021. This will be the first IMAX screening of the 25-year-old Evangelion franchise.

Also, it was announced that Evangelion: 3.333 You Can (Not) Redo., a new version of the previous third installment Evangelion: 3.0 You Can (Not) Redo. will be screened in IMAX from January 8 to 22, 2021. 3.333 is a more advanced version of 3.33, which was recalibrated for the DVD/Blu-ray release in April 2013. It was re-shot and partially retaken in 2K under the full supervision of Hideaki Anno, the general director.
