“#Giants hiring Chiefs’ Mike Kafka as new offensive coordinator”
The Giants have their new offensive coordinator.
The team is expected to hire Chiefs quarterbacks coach and passing game coordinator Mike Kafka to become new head coach Brian Daboll’s offensive coordinator, according to multiple reports.

Kafka, 34, spent the last five seasons in Kansas City working with Patrick Mahomes. A 2010 Eagles fourth-round pick out of Northwestern, the former quarterback appeared in a total of four NFL games for Philadelphia in 2011. He bounced around between the Patriots, Jaguars, Buccaneers, Vikings, Titans and Bengals before joining his alma mater as a graduate assistant in 2016.
Patrick Graham, who interviewed for the Vikings head coaching job, will remain the Giants’ defensive coordinator with Minnesota poised to hire Rams offensive coordinator Kevin O’Connell after the Super Bowl.
