More than 300 people flooded the streets of an affluent Hamptons town Friday to protest racial injustice after the death of George Floyd.

Waving signs that read “Black lives matter more than white feelings” and “I can’t breath,” the crowd, including local residents, marched along the waterfront streets of Sag Harbor on Long Island  — not far from where celebrities such as Christie Brinkley and Paul Simon own multi-million dollar homes.

“We’ve seen all of the images from the last week and seen [Floyd’s] story as incredible police brutality,” said one local protester, Leslie Abbey. “We all need to come out … and do whatever we can to take anti-racist steps and prevent this from happening again.”

In Sag Harbor, demonstrators wore face masks and remained peaceful throughout the three-hour protest.
