Warner Bros. Japan has officially released the first of a planned five videos on its official YouTube channel that it calls its Perfect Guide series. The series of videos is meant to ease moviegoers into the story of both films in Fullmetal Alchemist: Complete Edition before and after the release of The Avenger Scar on May 20th, and Final Transmutation, scheduled to be released one month later on June 24. The first video in the series is embedded below, detailing the beginning of the story and the main characters involved:

The subsequent videos in the series will be released on Warner Bros. Japan’s YouTube channel on May 12, May 19, June 16, and June 23. In addition to the video series, a second bonus for movie attendees has been announced for the second week of the film’s release in theaters, once again drawn by Hiromu Arakawa and based on her attendance during filming. The illustration is done in her unmistakable style and shows the characters “taking a break” during filming.
