The wait for more info about the Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End anime adaptation that was announced back in September has felt like an elven lifetime, so thankfully, we can now live a little easier knowing that it will be a TV anime series airing sometime in 2023.

The award-winning Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End manga has been serialized in the Weekly Shonen Sunday magazine since April 28, 2020, with the ninth volume set to release in Japan on September 15. Viz Media releases the series in English, describing the first volume as such:

 

Decades after their victory, the funeral of one her friends confronts Frieren with her own near immortality. Frieren sets out to fulfill the last wishes of her comrades and finds herself beginning a new adventure…

 

No further details such as staff and cast for the Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End anime have been confirmed at this stage.
