#Fresh Off His DDG Collaboration, PnB Rock Disses His Label Situation While Flaunting Stacks Of Money

Signing with a major label can be a daunting task for an emerging artist and a life-changing decision they come to regret years later. PnB Rock looks to be unhappy with his current label situation as an Atlantic Records signee. The Philly crooner took to Instagram to voice his frustrations with Atlantic while showing off stacks of cash.

Rock claims he’s not even making money off his music at this point and wishes someone would’ve talked him out of putting pen-to-paper when he signed his deal.

“Wish somebody woulda sat n told me not to take the deal, I don’t make money off my music I got paper still,” he wrote.

PnB Rock’s last album came with TrapStar Turnt PopStar in 2019. He hasn’t made an appearance on the Billboard Hot 100 since 2019 either, and most of his chart placements came due to collaboration rather than a solo effort.

Rock also made an appearance last Friday (March 19) on 2021 HipHopDX Rising Star DDG and OG Parker’s Die 4 Respect album. He connected with DDG for a feature on the Hitmaka-produced “Get What You Want.”

The 29-year-old previously spoke with Zane Lowe on Beats 1 in January and touched on his label issues and how they were limiting his ability to give the fans more music.

“I don’t know what I’m going to end up, put out,” he explained to Lowe. “Because, it’s not that easy when you are an artist, you’re signed to a label. It’s technical difficulties. I’m not able to put out as much music as I would like to, but that’s cool to me.”

PnB Rock is also dealing with legal issues. He was reportedly ordered by a judge earlier in March to pay rapper Rackboy Cam the sum of $1,447,720 after being sued by Cam on grounds of copyright infringement claiming YFN Lucci’s “Everyday We Lit” was similar to Cam’s “Everything Be Lit.”
