#Fortnite X Naruto Shippuden Details and Trailer Released

Details and a brief trailer for the previously teased Fortnite X Naruto Shippuden collaboration have been released ahead of its upcoming November 16 release. 

The trailer features the members of Team 7 — Naruto Uzumaki, Sakura Haruno, Sasuke Uchiha, and Kakashi Hatake — who will be added to the Item Shop as Outfits. There will also be a Seventh Hokage variant style for Naruto, the Sakura Uchiha variant style for Sakura, and the Black Ops Kakashi variant style for Kakashi. 

The collaboration will also add various back bling, pickaxes, emotes, and a Kurama Glider, as well as several bundles like the Naruto & Kakashi Bundle and Sasuke & Sakura Bundle. There will be Fortnite X Naruto Shippuden will introduce missions from Kakashi and a Paper Bomb Kunai weapon for the Season as well. 

Additionally, players will also be able visit locations like Hokage Residences and Ichiraku through the Naruto Featured Hub. Visiting Naruto at the Hokage Residences will lead players to the Hidden Leaf Village Adventure Map, which offer the opportunity to “walk in the shoes of a Hidden Leaf resident.” Completing quests will unlock more locations like the Final Valley and the Chunin Exam arena.

The collaboration will arrive with the v18.40 Update, with downtime beginning at 4AM ET on November 16. The full details are available here.

Fortnite X Naruto Shippuden will be the latest in a long line of collaborations for the battle royale game and the first to feature an anime. Previous collaborations have involved League of Legends, Marvel and DC characters, Dune, Ariana Grande, Rick and Morty, and more.

The Naruto Shippuden anime series ran from 2007 to 2017 and is based on the second part of Masashi Kishimoto’s Naruto manga, which ran from 1999 to 2014. The ninja action series has inspired various OVAs and movies. An ongoing sequel manga titled Boruto: Naruto Next Generations began in 2016 and inspired its own anime series adaptation in 2017.
