Fans of the classic action RPG Titan Quest are enthralled upon learning that THQ Nordic will be releasing a sequel. Originally coming out in 2006, the first game of the series has already received a remastered version for the PS4 and Xbox One back in 2018. As a result, many players within the current generation are familiar with the title as well. Storyline

Titan Quest 2’s predecessor was set in an ancient mythological world comprising Egypt, Greece, and Asia. However, it seems like this time, the story will focus and revolve exclusively around Greek mythology.
The trailer clearly shows that the game’s primary antagonist is Nemesis, the Goddess of Retribution. She can be seen corrupting the golden threads of fate and mercilessly hunting anyone who stands between her divine punishment.

It is up to the player to take on the role of the savior and fight against her with the help of other Gods. ‘Fate’ will certainly be a central theme within the lore, and we should get to know the true meaning behind it.
As it borrows from Greek mythology, we should be able to encounter popular figures like Zeus, Loki, Poseidon, and Hades. We have already seen them appear in the first installment and its expansion, so it will be no surprise if they also appear in the sequel.

Gameplay

Titan Quest 2 will feature a fast-paced action-packed gameplay from the top-down perspective, similar to Path of Exile or Diablo. The point-and-click mechanic should be traded with a modern approach for fluid gameplay. You should gain access to a number of skills or spells in the game as well.
There should be plenty of in-game class customization to resonate with your gameplay style. You will be able to form hybrid classes thanks to the deep character-building systems. However, details regarding the cosmetics or character customization options are not disclosed yet.

The game will also support online co-op multiplayer for you to embark on the journey alongside your friends.
Like any RPG, you will gain plenty of loot and gears that you should be able to upgrade using resources as you progress through the game.

Release Date and Platforms

Even though no exact date has been announced yet, the game’s release should not be very far after the initial teaser release. You can expect it around the December Holidays of 2023 or early 2024.

Titan Quest 2 will be available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC (Steam). There is no word about its release on the Nintendo Switch or the last-gen consoles yet. Currently, you can add it to your Wishlist via Steam.
