#With Its New Inspiron Family, Dell Has a Laptop for Everyone – Review Geek

Dell’s Inspiron line of laptops just got five new members. The line offers four sizes to choose from—the Inspiron 13, 14, 15, and 16 Plus—as well as the Inspiron 14 2-in-1. And with four nature-inspired colors, you can finally have a laptop that matches your style.

The entire Inspiron series was redesigned from the ground up, to make it easy for you to stay connected and entertained anywhere you go. Dell made these devices able to keep up with all kinds of tasks like video calls, blogging, or binge-watching your favorite shows. The laptops will also be able to seamlessly connect with your Android or iOS device.

Each of the laptops are designed with a more environmentally-friendly focus. The painted parts use low volatile organic compound (VOC) waterborne paint. The packaging tray for these laptops are created from 100% recycled paper, and the other packaging components are made from up to 90% recycled materials. Dell is also taking inspiration from nature, with four elemental colors: Peach Dust, Pebble Green, Platinum Silver, and Mist Blue.

The laptops all offer larger keycaps, a more spacious touchpad, and a nearly borderless display. An HD webcam designed to reduce visual noise and pixilation even in low-light environments and a fine-tuned microphone means you’ll look and sound great on every video call.

Inspiron 13, 14, and 15

With three sizes to choose from, these three laptops are great for those who want practical power in a smaller laptop. The laptops all have lid-open sensors and optional fingerprint readers with Windows Hello that let you quickly, easily, and securely log in. They also have adaptive thermals that help manage power consumption. And the ExpressCharge feature allows them to recharge up to 80% in a hour, so you won’t always be tethered to outlets.

The laptops all use 11th Generation Intel Core i3, i5, and i7 processors and offer 128GB, 256GB, 512GB and 1TB SSD storage options. You’ll also get an HDMI 1.4b port, at least one Thunderbolt 4.0 port, a USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A port, and card reader, and a headphone jack.

The Inspiron 13 features a 13.3-inch 300-nit 16:10 display with both a FHD+ and QHD+ display option, but the 14-inch Inspiron 14 and 15.6-inch Inspiron 15 are both limited to just FHD—no QHD+ option.

Spill-resistant keyboards come standard, and you have the option to upgrade to a backlit version. The Inspiron 14 and 15 also support multi-touch gesture-enabled touchpads with integrated scrolling for an improved user experience.

The Inspiron 13 starts at $599 and will be available in North American retail stores starting on April 12. The Inspiron 14 starts at $549, with global availability starting on April 13 and North American availability starting on May 4. Lastly, the Inspiron 15 starts at $529, with global availability starting on April 13, but May 4 for North America.

Inspiron 16 Plus

If you prefer a little more screen with your laptop, whether for work or for play, the Inspiron 16 Plus has a larger form factor and powerful hardware to match. It boasts a 11th Generation Intel Core H-Series processor, with options for either an Intel UHD Graphics card or NVIDIA GeForce GTX or RTX graphics cards. The 16-inch 4K (3072 x 1920) anti-glare backlit LED display offers 300 nits of brightness and a wide viewing angle, but no touchscreen functionality.

You can choose from 256GB, 512GB, 1TB, or 2TB of storage, as well as a 3-cell or 6-cell battery. The laptop also has an HDMI 2.0 port, two Thunderbolt 4.0 ports, two USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A ports, an SD card reader, and a headphone jack. The full-size backlit keyboard is spill resistant, and the multi-touch gesture-enabled touchpad has integrated scrolling. It also features an HD 720p webcam that reduces visual noise, a dual digital microphone array, and an option for a fingerprint reader with Windows Hello.

The Inspiron 16 Plus starts at $949, and will be available to purchase starting on June 3.

Inspiron 14 2-in-1

The 14 2-in-1 offers a ton of versatility in form factor. You can enjoy the functionality of a laptop along with the portability of a tablet, and the laptop makes it easy to move between laptop, tent, stand, and tablet mode as needed.

You can opt for the AMD Ryzen 5 5500U 6-core/12-thread Mobile Processor with Radeon Graphics, or the AMD Ryzen 7 5700U 8-core/16-thread Mobile Processor with Radeon Graphics. There are also three options for memory: 8GB (2x4GB) DDR4 @3200MHz, 12GB (8GB+4GB) DDR4 @3200MHz, and 16GB (2x8GB) DDR4 @3200MHz.

The slim laptop offers a single HDMI out port, two USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A ports, one USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-C with PowerDelivery and Video port, and a headphone jack. You can also choose 128GB, 256GB, 512GB, 1TB, or 2TB of SSD storage. It also has a 14-inch FHD Truelife Touch display.

The Inspiron 14 2-in-1 starts at $729. It’ll be available in North America on May 4, but global availability begins April 13.
